Let’s be real, if you think your first draft is perfect, you’re probably wrong. It’s awesome to be super confident in your work (I talk about that in detail in my Writing Tips post from May 20, 2 Things NOT To Do When Sharing Your Work), but you have to know that first drafts are raw for a reason. It’s basically a really detailed outline, and editing is how you flesh it out and turn it into a STORY.
