“Don’t procrastinate. Seriously. Don’t do it. You will ruin your weekend and be miserable and stressed and exhausted.” - Kathryn, the Fake Redhead

Is it cheating to quote myself in #MondayMotivation? Probably. But also, I do what I want. So, quoth the fake redhead.

I’m also probably a little addled because of the consequences I faced by procrastinating on a major project last week. You think to yourself, “I have time. I have SO much time. I’m going to do something else and leave the work for another day.”

Don’t do that. You’re not a pre-cog and you can’t see the future (if you are, I have a LOT of questions for you), so first of all, you have NO idea what else might pop up that you need to take care of, things that might get in the way of your nebulous future time to get your work done. Secondly, if you have days and/or weeks worth of work to do, don’t try to cram it all in a day. It’s super stressful.

I say this because I am a PROFESSIONAL procrastinator. Have I been burned before? Yes. Will I be burned again because I’m probably not going to completely take my own advice? Also yes.

Do as I say, not as I do, people.

And now that I’m done with my project, I’m going to sleep for a week.

Here’s to a productive week of writing (and NOT procrastinating, seriously). Don’t forget to sign up for the #MondayMotivation Newsletter by clicking HEREVolume Six will land in your inbox next week!
