“Writers aren’t exactly people…they’re a whole bunch of people trying to be one person.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
It can be said that each character you create comes from a person inside of you, because you’re the one who creates them. Or from research. But characters, especially your main characters, fundamentally come from something you relate to, you hear their voices in your head, and you put those voices to paper.
Don’t forget to listen to those voices, especially if you think you’ve gotten lost. They’ll guide you to the story you want to write.
Here’s to a productive week of writing. Have a safe and happy 4th of July for those who celebrate, and don’t forget to sign up for the #MondayMotivation Newsletter by clicking HERE. Volume Five will land in your inbox tonight!
