Six unedited sentences from the upcoming Part Twenty of You Will Find Your Way

Outside, lightning flickers.

Thunder booms.

The power goes out.

Dallas sighs, “Well, crap.”

“At least you can still sort of see,” Giselle shoots back.

She’s got a point, because after she takes a few seconds to adjust, Dallas can see pretty much just as well as she did before the lights cut out, “Trust me,” she says as she gets up, puts her food on the coffee table. “It’s not worth the trade off. Don’t move, I’ll go get the flashlights.”
